Le mie sposine mi chiedono spesso consigli su come affrontare le loro nozze dal punto di vista dei trattamenti da effettuare in centro estetico, per non trovarsi impreparate e non sbagliare le giuste tempistiche! 1) SCRUB CORPO - 20 giorni prima.
Il peeling total body è un trattamento molto rilassante che eliminerà tutte le cellule morte e le indesiderate pellicine, riattivando inoltre la circolazione cutanea. In seguito allo scrub, la pelle avrà un aspetto più fresco, morbido, sarà più ricettiva e assorbirà meglio le creme e i trattamenti che andrete ad utilizzare.
Il peeling è indispensabile in caso di spellature dovute a bruciature. Molto probabilmente avrete un abito con parti di schiena o spalle visibili! Questo trattamento sarà una manna! Ci penserà poi la vostra makeup artist a sistemare eventuali discromie provocate da bruciature o segni del costume (utilizzando specifici prodotti che evitano di macchiare l'abito e il velo bianco!). Mi raccomando, se vi sposate in periodo estivo, dopo lo scrub, evitate di esporvi nuovamente al sole! La pelle sarà più sensibile.Evitate di arrivare al giorno del vostro matrimonio con la pelle del corpo secca. Una pelle ben idratata, risulta più luminosa e soda. In ogni caso, la vostra makeup artist avrà certamente della crema nel suo kit.
2) CAPELLI - 20 giorni prima.
Avrete già fatto la prova acconciatura dal vostro parrucchiere di fiducia, ancora meglio se avrete effettuato la prova lo stesso giorno della prova abito, e perchè no, lo stesso giorno della prova makeup. In tal modo potrete vedervi "complete". Se non riuscirete a combinare tutto, la prova makeup invece, consiglio di farla 4-5 mesi prima delle nozze. Farla prima rischierebbe di confondervi.
Se insieme all' hairstylist opterete per un taglio e soprattutto un cambio di colore, fatelo circa una ventina di giorni prima delle nozze. In tal caso, la ricrescita non sarà già visibile, ma qualora il colore fosse sbagliato o non vi soddisfacesse, avrete ancora tempo per correre ai ripari. 3) PULIZIA DEL VISO - 2 settimane prima.
Fumenti e spremitura dovranno essere eseguite almeno due settimane prima delle nozze. Questo perché in seguito al trattamento possono formarsi rossori, piccoli brufoletti o segni, che richiedono qualche giorno prima di guarire. Da quel giorno, protraete l'effetto della pulizia del viso regalandovi una maschera (da scegliere in base al vostro tipo di pelle) due giorni prima delle nozze, e 7 giorni prima.
Dovete evitare di arrivare al giorno del vostro matrimonio con la pelle secca. Una pelle secca fa durare meno il makeup, non è confortevole, e vi rende meno luminose.Quindi, oltre alle due maschere, è importante seguire tutti i giorni i giusti step della cura della pelle (detersione, tonico, crema).
4) CERETTE - 4 giorni prima.
Quanto basta per non avere i primi segni di ricrescita, e quanto basta per fare si che la pelle guarisca da eventuali piccole bruciature e rossori.
La ceretta deve essere total body. Anche se normalmente non eseguite la depilazione anche su braccia o dita, per il vostro matrimonio vi toccherà soffrire un po' più del solito, perché le foto (soprattutto quelle dello scambio degli anelli o della preparazione della sposa) immortalano tutto, ma proprio tutto! Anche in questo caso, la vostra makeup artist avrà sicuramente delle pinzette nel suo kit.
5) UNGHIE - 2 giorni prima.
Assolutamente da evitare lo smalto, che non può garantire la giusta durata.Optate per il semipermanente o il gel. Se non avete mai fatto il gel, evitate di provarlo per la prima volta proprio poco prima delle nozze: al gel si può essere allergiche, e la sua rimozione non è semplice, oltre al fatto che rende la "manualità" diversa da quella a cui siamo abituate.
Da evitare anche le unghie troppo lunghe, a meno che non sia un vostro must. Le unghie lunghe sono infatti più soggette alla rottura! Il trend vuole unghie monocolore, dai colori lattiginosi, o con sfumature delicate, tipo babyboomer.Ricordatevi di applicare una crema mani prima delle nozze. Eviterà l'effetto "mano bianca" e terrà a bada le pellicine. Se non vi ricorderete ci penserà ancora una volta la vostra makeup artist. 6) IL GIORNO DELLE NOZZE
Quando vi accorderete per l'orario del servizio a domicilio, ricordatevi che prima si effettua l'acconciatura, dopo si procede al makeup. C'è una questione da non prendere assolutamente alla leggera, quando ci si accorda sull'orario dei servizi: avrete un rinfresco a casa? Ora, potrà sembrarvi una domanda fuori luogo, ma dovrete invece calcolare che quando la sposa ha previsto un rinfresco nel luogo in cui si preparerà, è bene calcolare un'ora in più per la preparazione. Tutti vorranno baciarvi, non vedranno l'ora di potervi salutare. In molti vi chiederanno dove potranno trovare una cosa, piuttosto che l'altra. Il backstage della preparazione di una sposa è tutt'altro che tranquillo! Per non sbagliare, La truccatrice dovrebbe iniziare il servizio circa 2 ore e mezza prima dell'orario del matrimonio (ovviamente calcolate quanto ci vorrà a giungere al luogo della cerimonia), e quindi l'hairstylist dovrà aver completato l'acconciatura 2 ore e mezza prima dell'orario del matrimonio.Procuratevi una vestaglia che si apra sul davanti. La indosserete durante la preparazione, e potrete toglierla facilmente, senza rovinare trucco o acconciatura. Comunicate con anticipo a parrucchiere e truccatrice il numero esatto di persone che, oltre a voi, desiderano ricevere un trattamento.
Infine, confrontatevi con la truccatrice per quanto riguarda il kit per il ritocco. Una makeup artist accorta, vi lascerà un kit contenente i campioni dei prodotti usati per realizzare il vostro makeup, e spesso aggiunge anche qualcosina in più, che vi possa essere utile per il giorno del matrimonio (cerotti, forcine, od altro). Se avete la pelle secca, nel kit non potrà mancare della crema idratante, e per rinfrescare il makeup potrete optare per una mini-taglia di Fix Plus di Mac Cosmetics, uno spray rinfrescante e fissante. Se avete la pelle grassa, procuratevi delle cartine assorbisebo, se non già contenute nel kit offerto dalla makeup artist. Fate custodire il kit all'interno di una minibag a testimoni o damigelle.

WEDDING: BEAUTY PRE-WEDDING TREATMENTS! My Brides often ask me for advices on how to deal with their wedding beauty routine, so they will not be unprepared and not to have issues with the right timing, which is very important!
1) BODY SCRUB - 20 days before. The total body peeling is a very relaxing treatment that will eliminate all dead cells and unwanted skin, it also reactivates the skin circulation. Following the scrub, the skin will look fresher, softer, it will be more receptive and will absorb better the creams and treatments you are going to use.
A Peeling treatment is indispensable in case of skin issues due to sunburns. Above all, if you will have a dress with visible back or shoulder parts! This treatment will be a godsend! Your makeup artist will then take care of fixing any discolourations caused by burns or signs of the costume (using specific products that avoid staining the dress and the white veil!). I recommend, if you get married in the summer, after the scrub, avoid exposing yourself to the sun again! Your skin will be more sensitive. Avoid getting to your wedding day with dry body skin. A well-hydrated skin is brighter and firmer. In any case, your makeup artist will certainly have body cream in her kit.
2) HAIR - 15 days before. You will have already done the hairstyle trial by your trusted hairdresser, even better if you have performed the trial on the same day of the dress trial, and why not, on the same day of the makeup trial. This way you can see yourself as "complete". If you can not combine everything, I recommend doing the makeup trial 4-5 months before the wedding. Doing it before this timing, will satisfy your curiosity, but there's the risk to confusing you, because the wedding day is still a long way off.
If together with the hairstylist you will opt for a cut and a change of color, do it about fifteen days before the wedding. In this case, the regrowth will not already be visible, but if the color is wrong or does not satisfy you, you will still have time to run for a coverup. 3) FACE CLEANING - 2 weeks before.
Face steaming and pressing must be done at least two weeks before the wedding. This is because after treatment, redness, small pimples or marks may form, which take a few days before healing. From that day, continue the cleansing effect of the face by giving yourself a mask (to be chosen according to your skin type) two days before the wedding, and 7 days before.
Please, avoid arriving on your wedding day with dry skin. Dry skin makes makeup last less, it is not comfortable, and it makes you less luminous, so in addition to the two masks, it is important to follow the right steps of skin care every day (cleansing, tonic, cream). Feel free to ask to your makeup artist for further info.
4) WAXING - 4 days before. Just enough to not have the first signs of regrowth, and just enough to make the skin heal from any minor burns and redness. The waxing must be total body. Even if you do not normally do hair removal even on the arms or fingers, for your wedding you will have to suffer a little more than usual, because the photos (especially those of the exchange of the rings or the preparation of the bride) immortalize everything, absolutely everything! Again, your makeup artist will definitely have tweezers in her kit, to clean small surfaces, when needed.
5) NAILS - 2 days before. Absolutely to avoid the nail polish, which cannot guarantee a long lasting performance.
Optate for the semi-permanent or gel. If you have never made the gel, avoid trying it for the first time just before the wedding: you can be allergic to the gel, and its removal is not easy, besides the fact that it makes the "gestures" different from the one you are used to. Too long nails should also be avoided, unless it is your must. Long nails are in fact more prone to breakage! The trend calls for single-colored nails, with milky colors, or with delicate shades, such as "babyboomer" (see the picture above). Remember to apply a hand cream before the wedding. It will avoid the "white hand" effect and will keep the skin at its best. If you forget, your makeup artist will take care of it once again ;)
6) WEDDING DAY When you agree with your suppliers for an at-home service, remember that first you do the hairstyle, then you proceed to the makeup. There is a question not to be taken lightly, when agreeing on the schedule of services: will you have a catering at home? Now, it may seem like an out of place question, but trust me, in this case, calculate an extra hour for your preparation. Everyone will want to kiss you, they will be looking forward to greeting you. Many will ask you where they can find this thing or the other... The backstage of preparing a bride is everything but a peaceful place! In order not to be mistaken, the make-up artist should start the service about 2 and a half hours before the wedding time (obviously calculate how long it will take to reach the place of the ceremony), and therefore the hairstylist must have completed the hairstyle 2 and a half hours before the wedding time. Get a dressing gown that opens on the front. You will wear it during preparation, and you can take it off easily, without ruining make-up and hair. Communicate in advance to the hairdresser and make-up artist the exact number of people who, in addition to you, wish to receive treatment.
Finally, ask your make-up artist regarding the touch-up kit. An expert makeup artist will leave you a kit containing samples of the products used to realize your makeup, and often also adds some unexpected stuff, which may be useful for your wedding day (patches, bobby pins, or other). If you have dry skin, a moisturizer cannot be missing from the kit, and to refresh your makeup you can opt for a mini-size of Fix Plus by Mac Cosmetics, a refreshing and fixing spray. If you have oily skin, get absorbed papers, if not already contained in the kit offered by the makeup artist. Have the kit stored in a minibag for witnesses or bridesmaids.
